An Over-Modulated Model Predictive Current Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

To improve the voltage utilization rate of DC bus and reduce vector tracking error, a finite-control-set modulated model predictive control (FCS-M2PC) with overmodulation capacity for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) incorporating penalty function is proposed in this paper. Firstly, three modulation regions are determined according to combined action dead-beat (MPC). Secondly, three, two one vectors applied linear region (LMR), I (OMR-I) II (OMR-II), respectively, synthesize reference vector. Thirdly, obtain better steady-state performance whole region, optimal dwell-times can be obtained from uniform defined by set mode parameters minimize error between current references predictions, rather than applying single conventional (FCS-MPC). The effectiveness superiority method validated experimentally.
